We have a team of 4 practice nurses who are available (by appointment) for cervical smears, immunisations, long term condition clinics and NHS health checks.
The Practice Nurses will also be available to advise you with regards to your foreign travel vaccinations. It is advisable to enquire at least eight weeks before your departure if possible as many vaccinations take a few weeks to become fully effective.
Hayley and Steve are our Emergency Care Practitioners. They see patients in the surgery for minor illnesses and injuries and go out to do home visits. They have degrees in emergency care medicine and both work under the supervision of our GP partners.
We have a team of 4 Health Care Assistants (HCAs). They are available for spirometry, Diabetic Foot Checks, Blood tests, INR tests, Blood Pressure checks, Ear Syringing, NHS Health Checks, Removal of Stitches, Spirometry and ECGs. All of these are by appointment.
Sue Barker is our Business & Finance Manager.
Diane Sheasby is our Clinical Team & Premises Manager, responsible for the clinical staff, our Barlestone branch surgery and the premises. She deals with complaints relating to the clinical team.
Marisa is our Patient Services Team and IT Manager. She manages the Patient Services Team members and deals with any complaints relating to these staff.
Dawn is a our Finance Administrator, assisting the Business & Finance Manager.
Our Patient Services team are here to help with all patient enquiries whether they are face to face, by telephone or in electronic form. They work on reception and behind the scenes ensuring the smooth running of the practice and supporting the clinical team.

Kiran is one of our two Pharmacy Technicians, they work alongside our Pharmacists, assisting them with medication queries.

The Midwife runs a weekly clinic at the Surgery for booking and routine antenatal appointments. The days are subject to change from time to time and so please contact reception for current clinic times.
Treatment/Dressings/Ear syringing etc. are done by the District Nurses, as well as a comprehensive home visiting service when the need arises.
The GP/Practice nurse will refer you if this is required

The Health Visitors are available to give advice and support for children under five years only, and those with special needs. They will help to assess the child’s development and general health during the early years. Appointments via arrangement only on 01162153205.
Our Dispensers are based at our Barlestone Surgery, to make up and dispense your prescriptions. Due to legal restrictions this service is available only for the Barlestone dispensing area.
