SystmOnline/NHS App

Log-in here if you use: SystmOnline

At the moment we are suggesting patients wishing to sign up to online services on their smartphone or tablet use the NHS App rather than SystmOnline.  It has the same facilities to access all our online services (repeat prescription ordering, online booking and access to your records) and is easier to use on these devices than SystmOnline.  You can also sign up to it anytime and the NHS will verify your address. This saves a visit to the practice with your ID (which is still needed for SystmOnline) and means it is safer during these times of social distancing.

Download it from the App Store, Microsoft Store or Google Play. It is called the NHS App and it's icon is simply the NHS logo.

What is SystmOnline?

SystmOnline is a website which allows you to do things like booking and cancelling appointments and ordering repeat prescriptions online. You can also view parts of your medical record including your medications and immunisations.

SystmOnline Information Leaflet and Terms & Conditions

Benefits of using SystmOnline:

  • It's available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, allowing you access to our services at your own convenience.

  • It could save you a trip or phone call to the surgery. You can use SystmOnline at home, at work or on the go, anywhere that you can connect to the internet!*

  • SystmOnline is also available as an app, which can be used on  Apple devices (iPhones and iPads) and on Android devices (mobile phones and tablets). The app can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and from the Google Play Store.

*SystmOnline is only available from within the UK. You cannot access SystmOnline from abroad.

1. How do I get access?

Please ask reception (or download) an application form. Complete the form and return it to reception in person. Please also bring ID with you as listed in the Information Leaflet which also contains the Terms & Conditions. Unfortunately without the correct ID we are unable to process your application.

2. What if I don't have any photographic ID?

It may still be possible to register you for online access, please see reception for further information.

3. Can another person drop my application form off for me?

No, for confidentiality and security purposes we require you to apply in person.

4. Can I post/e-mail my application form to you?

No, for confidentiality and security purposes we require you to apply in person.

5. How will I know when my log-in details are ready to be collected?

If you provide us with your mobile telephone number, we can send you a text message to let you know. Alternatively if you do not have a mobile phone number we will telephone you on your landline. If you not have heard from us within 10 working days, please contact the surgery to check that they are ready to be collected.

6. Can you post my log-in details out to me?

Unfortunately we are unable to post out log-in details.  You can collect your log-in details in person in which case we will need to see your photographic ID upon collection.  Alternatively, if you give us permission, we can text or email your log-in details to your personal account.

7. Can someone else collect my log-in details for me?

No, for confidentiality and security purposes we require you to collect your log-in details in person or have them texted or emailed to you.

8. What if I want a carer or relative to have access to my online account?

We do not advise you to share your log-in details with a third party. We can provide another person with their own log-in details to access your account. This can be instead of, or in addition to, your own log-in details. A person who has access to your SystmOnline account with your explicit consent is called a "proxy". For more information or to register a proxy, please ask reception for a "Proxy" application pack or download here.

9. How do I get access to my child's account?

Proxy access (see number 8) may be given to the parent/guardians of children under the age of 13 years old. As part of practice policy, at the age of 13 the proxy access will be suspended. For more information or to register a proxy, please ask reception for a "Proxy" application pack.
